Saga Pottery Exhibition| Taiwan Saga pottery exhibition
The Saga Pottery Exhibition was held for five days from Tuesday, March 1, 2024, at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei, organized by Saga Prefecture and hosted by CREAZIONE Co.,Ltd.
This exhibition, which also served as test marketing,
“Creating things in Saga that you want to talk about” “Creating things in Saga that you want to talk about” “Culture connections between Saga and Taiwan”
The project is based on zoning, collections, experience plans, and interactive communication, with the goal of creating 8figures that serve as the first step toward sharing the values of Saga and Taiwan.
10businesses (seven from Arita/Imari and three from Taiwan) provided mutual support and communication with visitors. When Taiwanese businesses communicated the attractiveness of Saga’s food culture and tableware, Japanese businesses supported them, and conversely, when Japanese businesses communicated the suitability of their tableware for Taiwanese cuisine, Taiwanese businesses supported them. Through this kind of mutual assistance, a good relationship was established.
The exhibition, which displayed a collection of over 1800 Arita ware and Imari ware items, received praise from visitors for its volume and depth.
11,279visitors (ranging from teenagers to people in their 70s) expressed an interest in Japan, Saga, tableware, food, culture, and creativity. The inspiration gained from visitors was a great motivation for businesses.
500realistic photos of dining tables in Saga and Taiwan were displayed, showing visitors the richness of food culture and creating a chain of smiles. Visitors wrote warm messages on sticky notes, and these messages were pasted on panels to make the atomosphere of the exhibition hall more interactive.
A total of 693people responded to the online survey, and some of them sent messages such as the following:
“The Happiness of Rich Meals: Thank you for exhibiting in Taiwan.”
“Thank you for bringing art into your lives and adding beauty and fun to your lives.”
“Very nice! I hope to see you next time.”
“I really liked it, and the interaction on site was great.”
“It’s amazing. I love exhibitions like this, and I want to go to Saga myself.”
More than 600people participated in the “Experience with Saga’s tableware and food” and had a fulfilling time, touching on tableware and food and deepening their knowledge. Participants included a wide range of people, including people from various regions and people interested in pottery and cooking.
Furthermore, more than 30 members of the Saga Ceramics Exhibition project worked together for about a year to prepare for the event, and achieved results that far exceeded their goals. The exhibition attracted many visitors, many expressed their satisfaction, sales were strong, and the unity of the project members was further strengthened.
We hope to further deepen our shared values by continuing to hold this Saga Ceramics Exhibition sponsored by Saga Prefecture.
