The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (SMEA) have selected us as a support partner for the “2022 JAPAN Brand Development Support Program”. The purpose of the “JAPAN Brand Development Support Program” is to support a portion of the costs for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to develop and improve new products and services, branding, and develop new sales channels in order to expand their business overseas or nationwide with a view to doing so, thereby helping local SMEs to capture demand from outside the region and contributing to the revitalization of the regional economy and the promotion of local SMEs. The purpose of this program is to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and the promotion of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by subsidizing a portion of their expenses. Support partners support various activities necessary for SMEs to develop overseas sales channels, etc.

The Japan Brand Development Support Project has been involved in this project since before the establishment of the partnership system, and has been supported by the Kyushu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Kyushu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been involved in the KOKURA STRIPE JAPAN project for global expansion, and the Tokushima City Local Industry Promotion Association has been involved in the KARAKURI (indigo dyeing and furniture) project for developing sales channels in China.
In 2021, when the partner system was first established, we worked with Ginpou Pottery Co.

We plan to utilize our branding experience accumulated since 2006 to clarify the uniqueness of each small- and medium-sized company, and create videos, images, texts, brand websites, etc. as communication tools to accurately convey that uniqueness to the people who need it.

At the same time, we will support the marketing activities of Japanese SMEs in their overseas expansion, based on our experience in developing overseas sales channels cultivated through our work with trading companies and our achievements in JETRO’s Export Potential Discovery Support Project and the Consortium of Major Exporting Countries Project.

The final decision on the brands to be supported will be made at the end of August.
